Vintage Cookbook: Aunt Kate's Household Annual

Today's entry in the series is a true throwback: All the way to 1932.
Published in the UK Aunt Kate's Household annual was a lot more than a cookbook with looks at a number of different aspects of cooking including techniques, equipment, preparation, table layout and many other things. It was published at the end of 1932 and included a calendar for 1933 as well as monthly journal pages that also told what foods were in season and gardening tips.
There are also a lot of recipes of all different types that are separated into the usual kinds of categories like meats, fish, salads, desserts, etc.
Here we look at a variety of recipes with some illustrations. There are several mains, a page of different sandwiches and a number of cakes.
You can see how tastes have changed since the 1903s though a number of classics have remained very much the same.
