The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP) is condemning Donald Trump's plan to forcibly displace the Palestinian population of and annex the Gaza Strip. They are also denouncing Trump Administration Secretary of State Marco Rubio's comments about and attacks on Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua.

After more than 15 months of cruel and uninterrupted genocidal escalation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America condemn, as absolutely unacceptable, inhumane and in violation of International Law, the statements of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, on the forced displacement of Palestinians out of the Gaza Strip and the alleged “takeover” of those territories by his country.

It is inadmissible that the U.S. government considers valid the process of ethnic cleansing carried out by Israel against the Palestinian people in their own historic lands. This proposal, which flagrantly violates the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter, International Law and Human Rights in their entirety, is governed by the announced national security doctrine of the United States, which, in an unusual and extemporaneous manner, seeks to obtain economic loot, as a result of each military intervention, under the maxim of peace through strength.

The Gaza Strip is an essential part of the State of Palestine, together with the West Bank and East Jerusalem, territories occupied by Israel since 1967, belongs to the Palestinians and only they have the full right to exist, to live and develop their economic potential in their territory, under the basic principle of self-determination of peoples and under the protection of the pertinent United Nations Resolutions.

ALBA-TCP joins the unanimous rejection of the international community against these irresponsible, expansionist and fascist aspirations and expresses, once again, its full solidarity with the Palestinian people in their heroic resistance struggle against the genocide, the illegal Israeli occupation and in their inalienable right to their existence as an independent State and as a free people.

The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP) firmly rejects the hateful and interfering statements made by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who, in his attempt to justify his interventionist policy, has once again instigatively attacked Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, free and sovereign countries that have overcome decades of aggression.

The U.S. representative, acting with hostility against a free Latin America and the Caribbean, promotes anti-values based on the genocide of native peoples and the exploitation of migrants. Today, this agent intends to blame our countries for a “migratory crisis” that his own government has provoked. The United States is the main responsible for forced migrations in Our America, with its economic wars, criminal blockades and plundering policies. The “American dream” is a fable that manipulates migrants to later deport them in inhumane conditions, as they have clearly demonstrated.

Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua are not the problem; they are the victims of an aggressive policy that cannot tolerate seeing free peoples decide their own destiny.

ALBA-TCP demands the immediate cessation of aggressions against Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, categorically rejects this new phase of extortion against all of Our America, which will not surrender or be intimidated by lies and manipulation and supports the peoples and governments of these sister nations.
