Camilo Guevara March, son of the legendary revolutionary leader, Ernesto Che Guevara died yesterday in Venezuela at age 60 due to natural causes. Camilo, who was named after the Cuban revolutionary hero and Che's friend Camilo Cienfuegos and was the son of Cuban revolutionary Aleida March, had dedicated much of his life to preserving his father's legacy and memory. Along with his mother he was a director of the Che Guevara Studies Center in Havana.
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez paid tribute to Camilo on Twitter while extending his condolences to Aleida and his family.
George Mavrikos, the former General Secretary of the World Federation of Trade Unions also posted a tribute on Facebook.
