The head of the Department of International Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Emilio Lozada García, held official talks with Chen Zhou, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, who arrived in Cuba on Saturday afternoon (May 12).

In the exchange, Lozada García highlighted the excellent state of relations between the Communist Party of Cuba and the Communist Party of China, while addressing the current state of the implementation of the Roadmap adopted between both international departments. The Cuban leader thanked, on behalf of the Party and the authorities of the country, the recent donation made by the People's Republic of China to the Cuban people.

For his part, Chen Zhou conveyed greetings from the General Secretary of the CPC and President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, to Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, and to the First Secretary of the PCC and President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez. At the same time, the Chinese leader reaffirmed the unconditional support of the Communist Party of China for the struggle of the Cuban people against the blockade imposed by the United States.

Both leaders reiterated the leading role of the Party in deepening comprehensive relations and the importance of the development of the Community of Common Destiny between Cuba and China.

Likewise, Lozada García thanked the Communist Party of China for its permanent rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba for more than 60 years by the government of the United States and reiterated the PCC's unconditional support for the one-China policy.

On Monday afternoon (May 13), member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Roberto Morales Ojeda, received Zhou.

During the meeting, Morales Ojeda expressed his satisfaction at receiving the Chinese delegation in Havana, while stressing that "this visit is especially important because it will allow us to continue following up on the consensus of our main leaders; comrade Xi Jinping and the First Secretary of the PCC and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez."

The solidarity, exchange and consolidation of ties between both countries and their respective parties, placing the political organization as a cornerstone in the realization of projects related to strategic sectors of both nations was an element that distinguished this exchange.

"We especially appreciate the exchanges that we have had during this last period of leaders from China visiting our country and also Cuban leaders visiting China and what this has represented," Morales Ojeda argued.

He said that this visit "allows us to make a stop along the way and continue evaluating how much more we can do in the relationship between both countries and parties."

As part of his day, the Chinese party leader presided over the signing of the act of delivery of the donation of computer equipment by the CCP to the PCC, signed by the head of the Department of International Relations of the PCC, Emilio Lozada García and the ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Cuba, Ma Hui, with the purpose of supporting the digital transformation program in the Greater Antilles.
