"It is with great satisfaction that we receive them here; their presence will allow us to continue consolidating the friendship and comradeship between the Communist Party of Cuba and the Communist Party of Greece."

With these words, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC PCC), Roberto Morales Ojeda, received Dimitris Koutsoumbas, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and the delegation that accompanies him, Thursday July 11, at the headquarters of the CC PCC.

The Cuban leader emphasized the importance of promoting the unity of the communist, leftist and progressive parties to counteract the advance of the fascist ultra-right.

At the same time, Morales Ojeda reaffirmed the will to diversify relations between the two parties and the willingness to develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

For his part, the Greek communist leader reaffirmed the KKE's support for the Cuban Revolution, joined the call for the exclusion of Cuba from the spurious list of states that allegedly sponsor terrorism and condemned the intensification of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba.
