October 2: The meeting between Member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CCPCC), Roberto Morales Ojeda, and Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and Secretary of the Party in the province of Bac Ninh, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, began with an affectionate greeting.

"We consider your visit, together with the delegation that you lead, an opportunity to continue strengthening the ties of solidarity and comradeship between the provincial committees of the Party of Cuba and their counterparts in Vietnam and that it will allow agreements to be made based on previous consensus," Morales Ojeda said during the discussion.

He pointed out that the visit is also part of the roadmap that has been signed between the Communist Party of Cuba and the Communist Party of Vietnam, while at the same time he stressed that these exchanges allow Cuba to learn from the successful experiences of Vietnam, as well as being able to share Cuban practices with work in the Party, among the youth, the mass organizations, and the challenges that Cuba faces today.

The visit, which is part of the strengthening of ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, takes the first steps to finalize the cooperation agreements and the Joint Declaration on the Strengthening of Solidarity, Special Friendship and Comprehensive Cooperation in the new period, adopted between Cuba and Vietnam in the context of To Lam's state visit in September.

As part of his agenda, during the meeting it was learned that the Vietnamese leader discussed issues related to food production in Artemisa with the First Secretary of the Party in that province and visited the Mariel Special Development Zone and other centers of economic and political interest on the island.

For his part, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, stressed that the reception and organization of his tour on the island have been successful, demonstrating the deep affection that both nations have for each other.

He emphasized the importance of finding possibilities for collaboration and investment, especially in areas like the industrial sector, food production and biotechnology, among others.

The meeting was attended by José Ramón Monteagudo Ruiz, Member of the CCPCC Secretariat and Head of its Agri-Food Department, along with other heads and deputy heads of various departments of the party organization.

On the Vietnamese side, in addition to the 12 members of the delegation, Le Quang Long, Vietnamese ambassador to Cuba, was present.
