Army General Raúl Castro Ruz held a telephone conversation with Nicolás Maduro Moros to congratulate him on his victory in the recent elections in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

During the call, the Army General stressed that the triumph of the Venezuelan people is a clear manifestation of the Civic-Military Union of the Bolivarian and Chavista people, which has been able to resist the adversities imposed by the unjust unilateral coercive measures of the United States Government, as well as the acts of violence and interference in the internal affairs of the country.

The Leader of the Cuban Revolution reaffirmed to Maduro the solidarity and affection of the Cuban people.

Maduro also received a call from Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic. In his message, Díaz-Canel said: "I spoke with brother Nicolás Maduro to convey warm congratulations on behalf of the Party, the Government and the Cuban people for his historic electoral triumph, the result of an impressive demonstration by the Venezuelan people. I reaffirmed Cuba's solidarity," he posted on X.

The Miraflores Palace lit up with a red tide when the re-election of Nicolás Maduro Moros, candidate of the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pol, as president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela was announced early this morning.

After denouncing a terrorist attack on the data transmission system, the authorities of the National Electoral Council reported that, with 80% of the ballots counted, an irreversible trend was confirmed. With a 59% turnout, Maduro obtained 5,150,092 votes, equivalent to 51.2%, compared to 44.2% for opposition leader Edmundo González and 4.6% for other candidates.

"This is the triumph of national independence and the dignity of the people of Venezuela," Maduro declared to the crowd. This idea was reinforced by Díaz-Canel on the X, who stated: "Today the dignity and courage of the Venezuelan people triumphed over pressures and manipulations."

Beginning at six in the morning, 30,026 tables were activated in approximately 15,797 polling stations throughout the country, allowing citizens to exercise their right to vote in these presidential elections for the constitutional period 2025-2031.
