In a speech given by U.S. President Truman in 1947, he said: “The U.S. system cannot live without a world system.”
This statement explains all the realities we are facing. The military, cultural, economic, and ideological war that started in 1945 is still ongoing. From Asia to Latin America, from Latin America to the Middle East and African countries, there is not a single piece of land that America hasn’t invaded, plundered, and exploited its underground and above-ground wealth.
The world is meant to have only two forces: imperialism and new colonies; according to imperialism... The coup that took place in Syria on December 8, 2024, should be viewed through this lens.
With the dissolution of the Soviet Union, no “alternative” system remained in opposition to imperialism, and as a result, the gains of the working class have been gradually taken away. We have regressed almost 100 years, and all gains and democratic rights have been dismantled.
NEW COLONIAL POLICIES
What is the goal of imperialism’s new colonialism policy?
In imperialism, crisis is constant and structural. No matter what it does, it cannot escape its crises. For crises to disappear, capitalism itself must be eliminated.
For capitalism to overcome its crises, it constantly needs "new markets."
Since the Second World War, it has used a method known as "secret invasion," which is another name for neocolonialism.
To summarize neocolonialism in two points:
1. Neocolonialism is the name of an economic, social, political, and military system that deepens exploitation, expands the area of plunder, and intensifies exploitation in response to imperialism's shrinking market needs.
2. For the implementation and continuity of this exploitation system, the colonial country's people must adopt "NEW BEHAVIORS." In other words, a cooperative mentality and subservience must be instilled.
One of the characteristic features of the neocolonial process is secret invasion, which essentially turns into the invasion of minds. By using psychological warfare methods, imperialism subjugates the minds and spirits of the people.
BMENA (BROADER MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA) INITIATIVE
U.S. imperialism tries to control the world with its PROJECTS.
The imperialist strategy known as the "Broader Middle East and North Africa" (BMENA) is based on two key documents in recent history:
The first is the “Project for the New American Century” (PNAC), prepared in 1998 by figures like Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, and Francis Fukuyama, and presented to the U.S. administration. This document advocates for the U.S. to intervene more actively in the world
system based on its military power and supremacy, to structure its army and war technology in a way that enables it to win more than one war simultaneously, and to expand and permanently establish its military presence in the Middle East.
Syria is currently the embodiment of BMENA.
The second document is the "U.S. National Security Strategy" of 2002, developed after the September 11 attacks. It redefined terms like “international terrorism,” “the threat of weapons of mass destruction,” and “rogue states,” and developed the “pre-emptive war doctrine.”
The logic is simple: Strike before being struck... Either you are with us, or against us.
NEOLIBERAL POLICIES
The term neocolonialism has become so worn out that, to avoid recognizing exploitation, imperialism has rebranded it as Neo-Liberalism. This is because imperialism seeks legitimacy.
Neo-liberalism is not a new method, but it especially manifested itself after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Neo-liberalism is essentially the political, economic, and ideological hegemony of the U.S. and its allied imperialist countries over the world.
Neo-liberalism is a brutal system of colonialism, signifying hunger, poverty, coups, occupation, and massacres. It is the policy of imperialism's new colonialism.
Neo-liberalism involves suppressing people through pressure and violence, ensuring their compliance with imperialism and its collaborators’ exploitation.
Neo-liberalism justifies pressure and force through terror propaganda.
WE OPPOSE THEIR PROJECTS WITH THE PEOPLE’S PROGRAM AND RESISTANCE
Imperialism may change the borders of 22 countries, but it cannot solve its crisis.
We do not want imperialism to export its crises and problems to new colonial countries.
However, imperialism attacks with weapons to achieve its goals.
That is why a handful of bandits could carry out a coup in Syria. Because there was no organized, armed people opposing them.
Imperialism calls for disarming the world’s people. What it actually means is: “Do not arm yourselves, so that I can strike you easily.” But imperialism itself turns even its pagers into weapons.
Let’s disarm, so that I can kill 50,000 people in Gaza without any resistance, children, old people, women alike. In Lebanon, Yemen, and now Syria...
Those calling for disarmament are producing missiles in large quantities.
People must arm themselves and organize to resist imperialism and its collaborators.
Current urgent tasks for anti-imperialists include:
a. We must increase solidarity with the Palestinian people in the face of Israel's massacres and attacks.
b. We must stand with the Syrian people. We should not leave them alone in the hands of the Islamic jihadist gangs that are puppets of imperialism.
c. We must oppose the imperialists' and Turkey’s oligarchy’s policies of destruction and assimilation against the Kurdish people. The Kurdish people must reject being soldiers of America and Ahmet Şara, and reject becoming killers of the world’s peoples.
d. Imperialism’s policies, which leave people stateless and force them into refugees for its own interests, are to be opposed. We must stop imperialism’s bloody bargain based on the
brotherhood of peoples. We call on the people under imperialist occupation (for example, Syria, Ukraine) to stay in their countries and resist imperialism. If they have left their homelands, we invite them to turn their faces back to their homelands.
e. It is legitimate to support the resistance of the people against imperialism’s terrorist lists.
f. Imperialism is trying to stage coloured revolutions (coups) in Georgia and Belarus. We stand with the peoples of Georgia and Belarus.
If imperialism has projects, we have unity among the world’s peoples. By uniting and creating common programs, we can defeat imperialism.
We call on all revolutionary, progressive, anti-fascist forces resisting imperialism to join the Anti-Imperialist Front.
