With a hymn to justice, hope and solidarity with Palestine, the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, began his working day in Sancti Spíritus. He was accompanied by the Member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization, Roberto Morales Ojeda.

From the city's iconic Plaza de la Revolución Mayor General Serafín Sánchez Valdivia, the people of Sancti Spiritus showed again their condemnation of the bombings of the people of Gaza and the destruction of their homes, hospitals and civilian infrastructure, as a result of the current imperialist escalation.

Since October 7, 2023, when the aggression by the state of Israel began, more than 43,000 Palestinians have lost their lives due to continuous attacks by military forces.

From Cuba we raise our voices in support of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, a historic world celebration approved by the UN in 1978.

Díaz-Canel was also accompanied by the member of the Central Committee of the Party and first secretary in Sancti Spíritus, Deivy Pérez Martín, and the provincial Governor Alexis Lorente Jiménez, among other cadres of political and mass organizations in the province.
