Hunan Communist Party leader visits Cuba

Political Bureau member and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Roberto Morales Ojeda, held an exchange with Qin Guowen, member of the Provincial Standing Committee, and General Secretary of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China who was visiting Artemisa province.


Morales Ojeda stressed that this visit reflects the excellent state of relations between the two Communist Parties, its special character and their common interest in advancing in the implementation of the consensus reached between the top leaders of Cuba and China, Miguel Díaz-Canel-Bermúdez and Xi Jinping, respectively.


He also noted that it contributes to boosting practical cooperation between the provinces of Artemis and Hunan in economic sectors of interest, following the signing of an Exchange and Cooperation Agreement between the two provincial committees of the Party.


For his part, the Chinese leader highlighted the close relations of friendship and solidarity that have historically existed between the two Communist Parties, and called for strengthening them.


The Chinese delegation's program included an extensive visit to Artemisa province, where it was received by the highest party authorities of the territory, and visited the Industrial Biotechnological company CIGB-Mariel S.A. located in the Mariel Special Development Zone.


The visit highlighted the joint willingness to promote inter-party exchanges to consolidate economic, trade, financial and investment cooperation, as well as to face common challenges at the political and ideological level.
