The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) reports that Sunday 21 April marked the national day of anti-imperialist action, against the involvement of Greece in the war plans of the USA-NATO-EU and the ongoing bloodshed of the Palestinian people.

Following the call of the Greek Committee for International Detente and Peace (EEDYE), the All-Workers Militant Front (PAME) and other mass organizations, multi-faceted actions, campaigns, rallies, marches, etc. took place in dozens of cities across the country, especially in the areas where there are Euro-Atlantic bases and infrastructure. These actions expressed the people’s opposition to the dangerous imperialist plans and the involvement of Greece.

In Attica, the 41st Peace March, which started at 8 a.m. from the Marathon Tumuli, ended at the militant anti-imperialist rally at the Ministry of National Defence, where Thanasis Pafilis, member of the Central Committee of the KKE, spokesperson of the party and General Secretary of the World Peace Council, delivered a speech. The opening speeches of Vaios Tsaprounis, Lieutenant in active service and President of the Officers’ Union of the Regional Unity of Xanthi and of Aircraftman Orionas Papadakis were among the highlights of the rally.
