February 3 marked the 95th anniversary of the formation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV). The CPV received messages of solidarity and congratulations from around the world (see: Communist Party of Vietnam receives congratulatory messages from around the world) including this one from Raúl Castro and First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez sent to CPV General Secretary To Lam. (Translated from the Spanish.)
Dear Comrade To Lam,
Please receive our warmest congratulations on the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, which together with its noble people has played a leading role in all the victories of that heroic nation.
The revolutionary practice of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and especially the policy of Renewal, implemented since 1986, have been indispensable in the process of socialist construction in its country and constitute today a reference for the international communist movement.
Always count on Cuba's firm support, dear brother To Lam, to deepen the unbreakable ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation that unite us, based on the legacy of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, and the beloved comrade Ho Chi Minh.
Receive this testimony of our highest consideration and esteem.
