The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, closed the International Antifascist World Festival "For a new world" this Saturday (January 11) in Caracas, with a call for political action against fascism.

"This movement must advance in the formation of a great world anti-fascist alliance; broad and diverse, for peace, democracy and the development of the peoples," the president declared, while emphasizing the need to "build and advocate for the capacity to mobilize in all towns and cities," as well as creating "forces of serious impact on social networks."

According to the Venezuelan president, this initiative seeks to defend peace, democracy and the development of peoples in the face of the growing imperialist threats facing their nations.

Maduro, during his speech, urged the social and political movements of Latin America to assume a leading role in this historic task.

He remarked that the Bolivarian Revolution is entering a new democratic and popular stage in the 21st century, with the aim of advancing transformative forces.

"We have a great task to rescue and liberate all of our America," Maduro said, highlighting the importance of mobilization on all fronts of society, from neighborhoods and countryside to universities and social networks, considering them strategic spaces for struggle.

In addition, he called for progress in the construction of the ability to peacefully defeat fascism, although he warned of more complex scenarios, which if necessary would face it with legitimate armed struggle, he said, making clear the firm determination of the Venezuelan people to defend their sovereignty and self-determination by the necessary means.

The World Anti-Fascist Festival, which brought together representatives from various countries, culminated in a powerful message of unity and international cooperation.

"Let's move forward together in this fight to transform our countries and guarantee a future of justice and dignity for all," said the Venezuelan president, emphasizing Venezuela's commitment to building a more just and supportive world.

Venezuela's proposal to create a broad and diverse alliance represents a call to action for the peoples of the world who seek a future of peace, social justice and respect for the self-determination of nations.

The Bolivarian Revolution, once again, stands as a beacon of hope and resistance for the peoples of the world.
