The IX Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba has been convened for December 12 and 13, with the purpose of analyzing vital issues facing the Cuban economy and society, in the midst of the complex scenario facing the country.
The evaluation of compliance with the Government's projections to correct distortions and revive the economy, the draft Economic Plan and Budget for 2025, attention to state and non-state economic actors, and actions against deviations and negative trends in current Cuban society will be the focus of attention of the members of the Party's highest leadership body between Congresses.
The IX Plenum of the Central Committee will also include in its agenda the systematic accountability of the Political Bureau in its work and decisions at this stage.
The meeting will ratify the Party's leading role in ensuring and conducting the country's main programs and priorities.
